The show was mellow this week, but we still got nasty talking shit about a fucked up slumlord, making it clear that once you become a landlord you are no longer punk, stop being a poser LIZ. In addition to our anti-bike hipster wannabe punk landlord rant, DJA expressed conflicting feelings around the spokeland opened on DJA’s block; Affordable bike fixes vs bike bros and hipster traffic. We also talked about how being unapologetic for calling people out on their fucked up behavior doesn’t make you a bitch.

a feeling

this is going to be cheesy and i know we don’t typically do this kind of stuff on this blog, but i just wanted to say how much i appreciate and love my co-host, dj aglossa. talking shit is usually petty but when we do it together it’s out of the love that we have for each other, to grow and reflect and keep each other safe, always. we have a bratty sister relationship but deep down in the ocean it’s unconditional: the way that i care about you and what you mean to me. i’m never sure if i’m expressing anything correctly, maybe that doesn’t matter. when things feel heavy, i can always count on wednesdays for release. i’m just really proud that for the past however many years of doing scream queens our time at the station has become this warm, beautiful space where we truly get to be the emotional, vicious bitches and friends that we are—- you and me and our guests and i couldn’t ask for any better in my life.
